About Us
We had a vision… to leave the bright lights and stress of London living and escape to the countryside for a slower pace of life, freedom to steer our own destiny and spend most days like we’re on holiday. Most of this has happened!
We absolutely love living in Devon – the people are friendly, the scenery is beautiful and on our doorstep we have pubs, the river Exe, lots of space and all sorts of nature…including peacocks and sheep!
We are very lucky to have found this hidden gem and we have thoroughly enjoyed sharing this special place since we unzipped our safari tents for our first full glamping season in 2019. Since then we’ve picked up numerous awards and were thrilled to have been honoured as the ‘best glamping site in the South West’ when we received the gold award for Glamping Business of the Year at the 2023-24 South West Tourism Excellence Awards! We are already looking forward to welcoming new and returning guests to Valleyside Escapes in 2026 for our 8th glamping season!
